There is a tolerance between the theoretical value of the fan speed and the actual operating effect. The fan used by miners is commonly known as a violent fan. Its theoretical value should not be lower than 4500RPM. Usually, we will configure a fan with a higher speed to ensure that the fan is full There is enough remaining space when the load is running, thereby increasing the service life. It is worth noting that when purchasing miner fans, try to buy double-bearing fans, whose lifespan is 4-6 times that of ordinary fans. But the appearance of the double bearing fan is difficult to distinguish from the normal fan, we can get the answer after disassembling the fan motor.
Based on Thanosmining's experience, we give the following recommendations:
5000 RPM for cryogenic miners: for Antminer L3+
6000 RPM for medium temperature miners: for Antminer S9, V9, T9+,
7000 RPM for higher temperature or combined miner: i.e. PSU and body are one piece
